Top Three Mac N’ Cheese

Cheese Fact: According to the International Dairy Food Association, the most popular cheese recipe in The United States is “Macaroni and Cheese!” With the cold weather settling in, we want to share some of our favorite, hearty Mac N’ Cheese recipes with you!

1) The Creamiest, Dreamiest, Cheesiest Mac and Cheese, EVER.

Ingredients:

Topping-

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for baking dish
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups panko (Japanese breadcrumbs)
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 ounces finely grated Gold Creek Farm’s Parmesan (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Macaroni and Cheese-

  • 1 pound dried elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 16 ounces coarsely grated Gold Creek Farm’s Aged White Cheddar (about 6 cups)
  • 2 ounces grated Gold Creek Farm’s Parmesan (about 1/2 cup)
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons mustard powder

2) MacN’ to perfection

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices good-quality white bread, crusts removed, torn into 1/4- to 1/2-inch pieces
  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, plus more for dish
  • 5 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 1/2 cups (about 18 ounces) grated Gold Creek Farm’s Aged White Cheddar
  • 2 cups (about 8 ounces) grated Gold Creek Farm’s Romano
  • 1 pound elbow macaroni

3) Best Mac N’ Cheese Recipes- Ever.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. (1/2 pound or about 1 3/4 cups) macaroni or other medium tubular pasta (like penne or conchiglie)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika plus more for sprinkling on top
  • 2 1/2 cups 2% milk
  • 3 cups grated Gold Creek Farm’s Aged White Cheddar
